NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. ! A BOY WINS THE BELT. By Telegraph—Press AssociationWanganui, Last Night. Tlio North Island Rille Championship meeting was concluded to-day in -heavy rain. Despite the weather, the shooting was of a high order, the scoring being regarded as phenomenal under the existing conditions. The champion of the North Island proved to be Private King, a 19 years old member of the Wanganui Highland Rifles. The champion teams match was won by the Akarana Rifles Club.
