LOST.
To the Editor. Sir,—What was once a beautiful walk along the Huatoki river, known as Barnes Terrace, is 7iow overgrown with noxious, stinking weeds. Lost—the time of three people who planted it; also the money spent by the Beautifying Association in forming paths, erecting seats, etc. All lost since the place was taken over by the Borough Council. The late Mr. Tisch took a great interest in this and other walks, but since his deatli all have been allowed to run to ruin. The Borough Council should have had these places cleaned up before our Christinas visitors arrived. What has become of the Beautifying Association, that they don't see that these places are kept in decent order? Trusting that this letter may have a good effect, I am. etc., TUKAKA.
