AX APPEAL LODGED. By Cable— Association—Copyright. Sydney. December 28. An appeal bus been lodged against tbt judgment in the vend ease on behalf oi W. K. Appleton. on the ground that einneous evidence was wrongly admitted and that there was no evidence of any joint intent by this defendant to do any of the alleged acts to the detriment of the public. The evidence, it is alleged, fails to establish intent to restrain or control trade to the detriment i'f the public, and it is also urged that certain sections of the Act have been l.y implication repealed by the provisions of certain amending Acts.
