Tt is calculated that if, as is generally expected, the spinning mills in Southeast Lancashire close owing to .to-day's impending lock-out in the Blackburn and Burnley weaving districts, throe, hundred thousand will be idled. Mr. Crinion, president of the Amalgamated Association, declared that if the m,asters of the South-east Lancashire mills interfere they must reckon with the operatives of Oldham and other centres before the mills will be allowed to resume. He mentioned a number of old grievances which required remedying. It is reported in Blackburn that Sir 6. R. Aslavith has asked for full details in connection with the Lancashire dispute.
