It is reported that the meeting of tho State Cabinet, which was held on Saturday to consider the difficulty which has arisen over the Speakership of the Assembly, ended in a deadlock. Mr. Willis, the Speaker, lias, it is stated, declined the request of the Government to resign. Nothing can be done until the House reassembles. Sydney, December 27. Mr. Willis denies that the Government has requested his resignation. lie declines to say what transpired at the Cabinet meeting attended by him.
