The King and Queen exchanged greetings with members of the Royal Family at Sandringham. There was an enormous exodus to holiday resorts. Large congregations attended the church services in London. Football attracted 17.000 to Tottenham, 33,000 to Fulhani, and 23,000 to Park Royal. Large use was made of cinematograph shows and hospital entertainments.
