It wa« thought there would be a turnover of many Labor votes. Mr. A. Anderson. M.l'. for North Ayrshire. declared that nobody had ever suggested giving Ireland control of the Customs and excise. The Government would put Ireland in the same position as British Columbia occupied to Canada.
