SHAREBROKER IN CUSTODY.

THE NATURE OP THE CHARGE. By Telegraph--Press Association. Auckland, December 10. James Scott Lennox, a sharebroker, about 34 years of age, was arrested at J p.m. to-dav on a charge "that, being a person adjudicated bankrupt at Auckland' on August 9, 1911, he has, by raslj ' and hazardous speculation, brought about . his bankruptcy." The warrant was issued on information laid by the Official Assignee (Air. W. S. Fisher), under Sectum l.iS of the Bankruptcy Act, sand Lennox was taken into custody. He wa.< afterwards brought before Mr. t-iittrn, S.M., and charged with the oftence. A remand was granted, bail being allowed. When the case comes before the Court again on December 27 another remand will be applied for, as the investigations , into Lennox's books, which have been proceeding since August last, have still to be completed.
