CHARGES OF FORGERY.
''AGAINST A PROMINENT WELLINGTONIAN. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Granville Hunt, formerly in business in Wellington as an indent agent, was arrested to-day at Kihikihi on a warrant issued in July, 11)10, charging him with having forged, on the '26 th of that month, the name of W. H. Nash to a promissory note for £142 8s lOd, and uttering it to Wright, Stephenson and Co. Accused is also charged with having forged and uttered a prsmissory note for £159 7s 9d on the same date and in respect of same individuals. He wag brought to Wellington this afternoon and will appear at the Magistrate's Court in the morning, when the police will apply for a remand.
