THE OTAKI RECOUNT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the result of the recount of the voting for Otaki: Robertson 2517, Field 2406. THE GREY LYNN SEAT. Auckland, Last Night. The final returns at the second ballot for the Grey Lynn seat are as foliows: Payne 3470, Fowlds 3432; majority for Payne 38. LABOR AND THE ELECTORS. Wellington, Last Night. At a meeting of the national council of the New Zealand Labor Party tonight, the following resolution was passed: ''That the national ceuncil of the New Zealand Labor Party views with deep regret the action of the Auckland members of the party in congratulating the reactionary party of the Dominion on their success at the recent poll, and takes this first opportunity of declaring that' whatever opinions may have been expressed by the members concerned were purely their own private views of the matter, and in mo way represented the attitude of the New Zealand Labor Party towards either Liberal or Conservative parties This executive furthermore repudiates the action of any branch of the party in officially supporting the candidature of any person other than the pledged Labor man, or in election contests where no Lab«r man is standing of taking any official part therein."
