INDIAN CORONATION DURBAR
THE NEW CAPITAL. By Cable—Press Delhi, December 15. The King and Queen laid the foundation stones of the new capital. There was a brilliant assemblage. The Maharajah of Gwulior offered a statue of King George to the new city. There are some bitter criticisms on the removal of the capital. Calcutta shopkeepers are dismayed, and it is suggested that the administration in future will be guided solely by the ideas of a small official coterie. THEIR MAJESTIES DEPART. NATIVE RULERS SAY FAREWELL. Received 18, 12.45 a.m. Delhi,, December 17. The King has departed for Nepaul, and the Queen for Agra. The ruling princes assembled to bid their Majesties farewell. The route to the station was thronged with enthusiastic spectators.
