The coasting steamer Brooklyn, while entering Crook Haven Heads, ran on ■<•■ reef. .A large hole was rent in her bot torn .by a rock which projected. Slil filled with water in a few minutes. The crew was rescued ten hours later. There is a hope that a portion of the cargo, which is chiefly Christmas goods, will be saved.
