TIMARU WOOL SALES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, La«t Xight. The second wool sale to-day was attended by a record numbeir of buyers for Tiinnru. Seven thousand six hundred bales were offered, as compared with 10,000 at the second saJle last year. The wool was of better quality than at the first sale, and there was keen competition, nearly every lot being sold at prices satisfactory to vendors. The bulk was crossbred, suitable for the Yorkshire mills. Most of the best halfbred was lxrught by colonial mite at 10% d to 11 %d, the latter being thei top price at the sale. Medium halfbred made 9>/ 2 d to 10y 4 d, inferior B%d to 9'/ 4 d. Compared with the Ohristchurch sale, the prices were slightly higher for like classes of wool.
