T'.ie Meteorological Otiioe has issued the following summary and forecast:— Showery and changeable weather has be <n experienced generally, and the l-fometer rose in the north during the r.-.Ut, especially about the East Cape, v.licre conditions were threatening yes- i t-rday afternoon. The barometer has b-cn very low ami unsteady in the south. Westerly winds, moderate to strong, have predominated, with southerly tendency in the south. Present indications are for hazy and unsettled weather, in- . creasing northerly and westerly winds in the north, with falling barometer and" strong westerly and southerly winds, with changeable and showery weather in the south, where the barometer has now a rising tendency.
