CHANGING FROM CREDIT TO CASH. rpHB business of The Red Post Furnishing Company, Limited, has grown so satisfactorily during tlie past twelve months, and more especially the Cash part of it, which has been brought about to a large extent by the special inducements held out to Cash Purchasers, that the Company has come to the conclusion that the time has arrived, with the removal into new, large and up-to-date premises, to CHANGE THE BUSINESS into a TOTALLY CASH ONE. But this conclusion has not been arrived at without long and careful consideration of the reasons for and against the proposed change. The Company wishes, in ample time before removal, to lay before its past, present and future patrons the reason for this change. Briefly they are:— FIRSTLY. —We are certain that a cash business will be as beneficial to our customers as to the company, as we shall share with out patrons all the benefits of cash buying from the manufacturers, including cash discounts, agents' and merchants' commissions saved, etc., and so be enabled to REDUCE OUR PREVIOUSLY MODERATE PRICES BY 2/- TO 4/- IN THE POUND, according to the different classes of goods. SECONDLY.—We recognise that it is absolutely unfair that the cash purchaser should have to pay more for his goods, to make up for losses on Bad Debts, Long Credit, Expensive Book-keeping, Cost of Stationery and Postage, Legal Expenses in Recovery of Debts, Losses of Interest on Capital lying dead, etc. THIRDLY.—We have already sent valuable consignments of goods to Auckland, Hastings, Wanganui, the Main Trunk Line and various towns of this province, and we wish to increase our already fine staff of workmen and so "benefit our town" by the increase of this outside trade. This can be done by Cash Trading. FOURTHLY.—We are absolutely certain that this is a step in the right direction, and the Company wishes to be amongst the pioneers in a movement which must tend to greatly reduce tho OO.ST OF LIVING. N.Z.—ln our new Cash System, all goods will be required to be paid for at the time of purchase or before delivery, and cash must be forwarded with all country orders. This rule will apply to all customers absolutely without exception.
