Mr. Tlavelock Wilson, interviewed, said he hoped the recent maritime strike' had secured industrial peace in the British mercantile marine for a long time. The recognition of the unions alone constituted a splendid victory. It took him two years to organise the strike, and he addressed over a thousand meetingo. Regarding riots, he said that at present the action of the troops was quite justified. Referring to {British sailors, he said they were better than ever. They were a different type from those of the old sailing-ship days, but just as good at work.
