Thomas Fehl, a burglar undergoing trial at Birmingham, hurled a stood and smashed Mr. Justice Ridley's desk, wounding the judge in the face, and knocking off his wig and spectacles. It is alleged he intended to strike a witness, whom the prisoner further threatened. He was sentenced to five years, besides having to complete an unexpired sentence of fifteen months.
