The sale opened with prices about 10s per head below last week's rates, and values gradually fell, closing about £1 below those ruling a week ago.' Fat sheep—There was a small yarding, 1092 being penned. Owing to butchers having light supplies on hand, the market was keener than last week, prices showing an advance of about Is 6d per head at the start, but there was a weakening towards the finish. Bestshorn wethers 18s to lfis Cd, extra to. 21s, medium 17s Cd to 18s, best ewes 16s to 18s 6el, others l k 2s (Id to 14s Cd. Fat lambs —There was a full yarding, 350 being penned. Last week's rates were maintained.
JOHNSON VILLK. Messrs Abraham and Williams report on their Jolmsuiiville sale as follows: We had a good entry of sheep and bullocks. Sheep were easier, while bullocks sold ill late rates. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. report:— At our Marton sale we had a very good yarding of cattle and a fair entry of sheep, practically the whole of which changed bands at the following prices:— Fair 2-tooth wethers to 10s lid, good 2-tooth wethers to 12s, medium 2-tooth ewes to 12s fid, medium mixed hoggets 12s lid. aged uwca (with small percentage lambs) 12s (id. good wether hoggets to Us Bd. Cattle: 12 to 15-months steers £3, small yearling steers £2 as to £2 lis. 15 to l'S-month steers to £3 10s. 18-months to 2-year steers £3 14s to £3 17s. mixed 2-vear cattle £3 13s, 15-month heifers to £3, 15 to 18-month dairy heifers to .C\ 10s, young bulls to £2'l3=, store cows £3 2s to £3 lis. cows and calves to £4, fat cows and heifers to £0 15s.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At Waikanae on Tuesday a small yarding of sheep and cattle met with a ready sale at the following quotations:—Shorn 4-tooth ewes 13s, shorn 2-tooth wethers (small) 10s, 2-year dairy heifers £3 15s to £3 17s, 'l2 to 18months heifers £2 lis to £3 2s Od, springing cows £4 15s to £0 15s, yearling steers £2 18s, weaners 31s, bulls £2 10s to £3. PALMERSTOX XORTH. Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. report:—At our Palmerston North sale a small yarding of sheep and a very good entry of! cattle, which included some very fine lines of well-bred bullocks, came forward, there was a fair enquiry for young cattle, but several lines of bullocks were passed in. Sheep: Mixed-age ewes (with lambs) His (id. e.f. ewes 13s 2d.
