HOUSE BURKED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. A lire in Eden street, Mount Eden, last night destroyed a six-roonied house occupied by Mrs. R. Riley. Two neighbors observed the outbreak and found Mrs. Riley lying on the verandah of the burning building in her night attire, in a semi-conscious state. She murmured that there were three children in the building, and then collapsed. One child, son of Mrs, Martin (who is Mrs. Riley's sister) was rescued from a .back room, severely burned, and taken to the hospital. One other little boy was found suffering from burns, but less severely. The third child, a little girl, escaped without injury. Mrs. Riley is suffering severely from shock.
