One member declared it. was disgraceful, and had degenerated into a matter of gate money. Mr. Flowers said he could sec no good in going to extremes. Mr. Fisher indicated that the banks would bo opened probably before next session. He reiterated that there was no intention to raid the State Savings Banks. Mr. Fisher has received numerous protests from bankers against his proposals to reduce the Federal Bank gold reserves.
