SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The Meteorological Offioe has issued the following summary and forecast: — Warm and hazy weather has prevailed, with increasing cloudiness, especially in the South Island. Westerly and northerly winds have predominated, moderate to strong generally, but increasing in the south. Present indications are for Btrong westerly winds, backing to northerlies in the North Island, and high northerly winds elsewhere. A storm area appears to be approaching from the westward and general rains will probably follow. The .barometer is likely to fall low in the south in the next twenty-four hours.
