AUSTRALIANS AND NEW ZEALANDERS.
AX IDEA DISPELLED. By. Cable—Press Association— Perth, December 7. ■ Recently an article by Mr. Simons® who is in charge of the Young Aus-' tvalia League boys who are touring America, appeared in the local press stating that a strong antipathy was shown by Xew Zoalanders to Australians. lie quoted evidence, which he ob- | served during the boys' stay at Wellington, i - Sir William Itussoll, who is returning to New Zealand by the Moolton, interviewed. declared that it was all nonsense. The only feeling entertained towards Australians was one of cordiality and good-fellowship. Xew Zealandcrs had an intense lov<S of their own country, but to say they despised Australians in the Dominion was ridiculous. The only fact in Mr. Simons' .statement was that Xew Zealanders in speech and mannerisms were more English than Australians were.
