MINING.

TELLLRIDES COMPANY. Following is the mine manager's report for the week ending December 2, 1911: Gordon.—The drive on the south course of the George lode in this section has been extended 10ft. for the week, making a total distance from the crosscut of 22ft. The reef is Gft. from wall to wall, and very little sulphide stone has been seen during the week, but there is a little copper in the hangingwall portion, whilst other mineral indications are of a promising character. The lode is now bearing away at a very sharp angle to the eastward. Volunteer.—A survey of .this section has just been completed, and a plan of the main workings compiled. Work in the face will be discontinued for the present, and -a short crosscut driven into the right hand wall with the object of seeing if ore exists in this direction.
