The Copyright Bill was read a third time in the House of Lords and the Coal Mines Bill a third time in tho House of Commons. A clause has been added disallowing a pitbrow bov. girl or woman to lift or carry anything so heavy as to cause injury. A clause was introduced by the Grand Committee, prohibiting the employment of women or girls at the pitbrow. was omitted. Mr. Acland. Under-Secretarv for Foreign Affairs, has informed the Government he is hopeful that France will applv the minimum tariff to Australian and New Zealand frozen mutton.
