The Miners' Phthisis Commission's report recommended compulsory medical examination of miners before employment, and medical examination of all miners even- six months. Miners medically rejected are to be sent to sanatoria at the State's expense. Miners claim that the State is bound to find employment for medically rejected men. and a miners' insurance trust will be established. Miners and owners state they will each contribute a third of the premiums. Miners will receive free attention and medicine. The report was tabled in the Assembly.
