N.Z.A.A.A. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETING. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday. The management committee of tin New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association met this evening. It was decided that the cycling events at the Australian championships be a half-mile provincial championship, a mile handicap, a onemile provincial championship and a twomile handicap. The liawera club notified that it had disbanded. The letter was referred to the Wellington centre to see what could be done to resuscitate the club. The Auckland centre notified that the following members of the Auckland centre would bep resent at the Australasian championships:—F. J. Olsen, J. J. Mulvehill and J. P. Jerrat.
The following clubs were granted affiliation subject to everything being in order:—Seatoun Amateur Athletic Club and the Central Harriers. The Amateur Union of Australasia notified that the Association's application that the performance of G. P. Keddtdl in the 120 yds hurdles at Christchurch in March, Mil, of 15 3-10 sec, standing as an Australasian record, had been granted. Messrs A. A. Marryatt and C." E. Bridge were appointed to represent the Association on the Board of Control, which will meet during the progress of the Australasian championships. The New South Wales Association notified that its team would leave by the Warrimoo on December 10. The Victorian Association wrote stating that its team would probably leave on December 13.
Mr. A. C. Kitto was appointed handicapper for the championships. The Australasian Union notified that the reinstatement of George Hume Seddon (twelve months from last professional performance and S. T. Seddon had been confirmed, it being stipulated that G. H. Seddon could compete as an amateur on Boxing Day, December 26, oven though itlie entries for sports on that day close before the reinstatement comes int» for**. An application by J. E. McClennan (Dunedin) for reinstatement was referred bivck to the Otago Association for further particulars. The following were chosen to represent New Zealand:— 100yds—Woodger, Opie and Hubbard. 220yds—Woodger and Opie; reserves, Stohr and Hubbard. 880yds—Harding and Wilton; reserves, Douglas and Fisher. One mile—Hill and Pugh. , Three miles—Hill and Dickinson. <sne mile walk —Kerr; reserves, Cashman and Stubberfield. Threo miles walk—Kerr; reserves, Cashman and Stubberfield. 120 yds hurdles Keddell; reserves, Hamilton, McKenzie and Hallegan. 440 yds Hurdles—Keddell; reserves, Hamilton, McKenzie and Hallegan. Broad jump—Millard, Keddell and Hubbard. High jump—Millard, McKav, Mitchell, Winkelman, Hodge and Orbell. Pole vault—McKay; reserves, Winkleman and Batson. f Putting-the-shot— De Their, Read and McKay, Throwing-the-hammer McHalm and Bissett. The men who have been definitely selected will assemble in Wellington on December 23. The men selected as reserves will be called upon if required. Mr. C. E. Bridge will be in charge of the team on arrival at Wellington.
