BUSINEBS NOTICES.
Special attention is drawn to the dispersal sale of pedigree and> grade Jerseys on account of Mr, A. Hodgkinson, of Takaka, Nelson, which Mr. Newton King is holding at his Waiwakaiho saleyards on Friday next, when 10 pedigree bulls and 21 pedigree cows and heifers, together with 13 grade cows, will be offered. The cows and heifers ore of exceptional quality, and, with the scarcity of this class of cattle in Taranaki, they should realise good' prices. Of the bulls one cannot speak too highly, and it is only by inspection of these that the public will be able to realise what fine animals will be offered. Mr. Hodgkinson has made a speciality of breeding entirely on butter-fat lines, with the result that from his whole herd last season he obtained an average of over 3.30 of butter fat. This is a record that would be hard to beat, and to the farmer who knows the value of good cattle in hie herd, this sale should afford an exceptional opportunity of obtaining first-class animals. Catalogues forwarded on application to the auctioneer. When it comes to a question of suit policy the Melbourne may be well likened to the Liberal "continuous" government, inasmuch as it has retained the full support and confidence of the people of TaTanaki for the past fifteen years. Paradoxically, the Melbourne has kept its position at the top by maintaining prices at the bottom. An up-to-date and reliable Wolselcy car for hire any hour of the day or night.
