MURDERS IX SHANGHAI. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Shanghai, December 3. The comprador of a foreign firm lias been murdered by the revolutionaries. They allege that he sold arms to an Imperialist. The mufderer terrorised his pursuers with a revolver, and escaped. Pekin, December 3. Forty million rounds of small arms ammunition has been landed at Taku. it is believed from Japan. INDEPENDENCE OF MONGOLIA. Pekin. December 3. A movement is on foot to urge that the independence of Mongolia be declared, and Chinese officials dismissed. Tokio, December 3. The revolutionaries in Manchuria are poorly armed, and their successes were due to surprises. The Imperialists are readily retaking the towns that were captured, and the rebels are instantly beheaded. CHINESE OFFICIALS DISMISSED. Received 4, 10 p.m. Pekin. December 3. Advices from Arga state that the independence of Mongolia lias been declared and the Chinese officials dismissed. TARTAR CITY SACKED. INSURGENTS INVEST NANKING. A GREAT EXODUS. Received o. 12.45 a.m. Pekin, December 4. By the authorities' permission the Tartar city within the walled town of Nanking has been sacked and burned bv the insurgents and fully occupied. The rest of the Nanking Imperialists have evacuated the town. The Pukow Imperialists at Hanyang shelled the revolutionary headquarters, causing a great exodus. The revolutionaries are now encamped outside the walls furthest from Hanyang. The Imperialists hold Cheefoo.
