SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The Meteorological Office las issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometric pressure has been very unsteady, and the weather unsettled. Westerly and southerly winds have predominated, with gales in many parts of the country. Snow fell on some of the higher levels in the south on Sunday night. Hail accompanied by thunderstorms has also been reported. Present indications are for showery and changeable weather, with electrical disturbances in many parts, strong southerly winds predominating with a rising barometer, but winds will probably back by the west ■lter from 24 to 36 hours, and the barometer fall again everywhere.
