FRANCE IN THE PACIFIC.

An article published in the Morning Post savs the announcement that the Foreign Office is discussing the rectification of boundaries in Africa with Fiance, suggests tho desirability of including the Pacific Ocean in the scope of friendly rearrangements. Britain is risking the chance of being placed in an awkward position in the Xew Hebrides by some action on the part of the Commonwealth, which would lack tin' !••)' ranee for the necessary negotiations with foreign Powers. The article suggests a conference upon the Pacific with France, at which Australia and Xew Zealand should be represented.
