MATTHEWS & BEXXETT'S REPORT. Matthews and Bennett report that there was a small entry of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last. Prices were about the same as at last sale. Yearlings made £2 12s to £3, steers £3 to £3 2s, springers £4 to £o', store cows £2 12s to £3 10s, forward cows £ 4 10s, bull £4 to £4 12s tkl. SOUTHERN MARKETS. ADDIXGTON. Sheep—Four and six-tooth woolly wethers made lfis to 17s 7d, dry fourtooth ewes (good sorts) 21s 2d, woolly merino ewes (with lambs) 9s, soundmouthed shorn ewes (with lambs) 10s Id to 10s (id, shorn two-tooth wethers lis, low-conditioned sorts to 12s, fair lines shorn four and six-tooth wethers lGs lid to lfis, two and four-tooth shorn wethers 13s. Fat lambs—The range of prices was from lis to IBs 3d. Fat sheep—Woolly wethers 23s 8d to 24s Bd, prime shorn wethers 10s. Gd to 21s, others 14s 6d to lGs, woolly ewes l'fis 8d to 245, prime shorn ewes 15s fid to 18s fld, others lis 8d to 14s, shorn hoggets 13s 4d to 15s 4d. Messrs Dalgetv and Co. report on their Wanganui sale as follows: —We had a good yarding of cattle and sheep, and have to report a good sale, the demand for all classes being brisk, sheep in particular meeting with a ready sale.
