MINING.
TELLI'RTDES PROPRIETARY. The mine manager's report for the week ended November *25, is as follows: Gordon.—The main low level crosscut in this section was extended a further distance of 16ft. up till Wednesday, 22nd, when work was suspended here and the men put on to open up the George reef on its southern trend. The drive on this reef has .been extended Oft from the crosscut and the lode is fully 7 ft. wide. There is 16 inches of the hanging wall portion which shows sonic high class sulphide ore at different points. Samples from this portion of the lode gave an average value of £3 14s per ton. The highest values come along the floor.of the level, and I am in hopes of meeting with something better as the level advances. Volunteer.—The low level crosscut in this section has been advanced a further distance of 6ft during the week, and I am pleased id say a change has come in the nature of the country from the back of the levci A survey will be made of thesa workings during the week.
