FIRE AT INGLEWOOD.
A SHOP GUTTED. By Telegraph—Own correspondent. Inglewood, Last Night. A fire broke out to-night at 9.45 in the premises occupied by the Melbourne Gothing Company, in the main street, almost opposite the railway station, and owned by Mr. T. Drake. The Fire Brigrade were soon on the scene, but the flames had a -very good hold, and attention 'was turned to saving the adjoining premises, occupied :by Mr. E. J. Baker, storekeeper, and Ma - . T. W. Kolston, tailor. The Melbourne's shop was practically gutted, whilst damage was done to the other places, chiefly by water. Good work was done by the brigade, whilst the Boy Scouts assisted in salvaging stock, etc. The origin is a mystery. If your property is not insured, call at or ring up the United Insurance Company, Ltd., Devon street; telephone 198. Webster Bros., District agents. Insurances effected on the most favorable terms.—Advt.
