F pursuance of the Legislature Act, 1!H)8, I, Frederick Ebenezer Hardy, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Egmont. do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the twenty-first day of November, 1011, under the hand of the Clerk of the Writs, an election will be held for the return of a qualified person to serve as member for the said district; and that the latest hour for receiving nominations of candidates will be noon on the twenty-seventh day of November, 1011; and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said district on llic seventh day of December, 1!) 11. NOTICE OF LICENSING POLL AND NATIONAL PROHIBITION I'OLL, AM) OF TIME AND PLACE FOR SELECTION" OF FIT PERSONS TO APPOINT SCRUTINEERS THEREFOR. JN pursuance of lite Licensing Act, 1908, and the amendments thereto, I, Frederick Ebenezer Hardy, Returning Officer for the Egmont Licensing District, do hereby give notice tliat on the 7th day of December. MM, the day appointed for taking the Electoral Poll for the Electoral District of F.L'mont. simultaneously therewith :i. LICENSING TOLL will be taken upon the following proposals:— I VOTE FOR CONTINUANCE. I VOTE FOP. NO-LICENSE. And concurrently with the taking of the said Licen-ing Poll there will be submitted for the determination the electors of the said Licensing District the question whether National Prohibition shall come into force throughout New Zealand. The question will be submitted in the following form:— I VOTE AGAINST NATIONAL PROlini/TfON. I VOTE FOR NATIONAL PROHIBITION. Nominations of persons to appoint Scrutineers in accordance with the Licensing Act. 1908. and the amendments thereto must be lodged with me not later than 3 o'clock in the afternoon of the 3!>th day of November, 1911. And I hereby give notice that I shall on the "2nd day of December, lull, at the hour of 10 o'clock in the forenoon, at my office in P.ridge street, publicly consider all nomination papers of persons to appoint scrutineers which have been duly lodged in respect of the Licensing Poll for t-he said Licensing District and in respect of the National Prohibition Poll.
