A CORRECTION.

To the Editor. Sir, —I would like to draw your attention to a ■paragraph appearing in your local and general coJumn of Monday, the 27th inst.r in which you state that Mr. Thos. Ranford, of the Surrey road, Tariki, was very successful at the recent New Plymouth show with his two Jersey bull 9, Daylight and Sunflower Pensens. and pointing out that in your detailed report credit was inadvertently given to Hansford Bros. I would like to point out that the only mistakes in your detailed report occurred in the spelling, so that if you had printed Ranford Bros, instead of Hansford Bros., Daybright, by Starbright—Lady May, in place of Daybright, by Daybright—Lady May, and 'Sunflower's Persens instead of Sunflower Pensens, the report would lmve been correct. In fairness to your paper, I must etiate that the two latter mistakes occurred, fop some reason or other, on the society's catalogue, so that your only error in the first place was in the spelling of our name. Mr. Thos. Ranford, jun,, is a member of the firm of Ranford Bros,, and the bulls exhibited at the recent New Plymouth show are the property of and were exhibited by Runiford Bros., Tariki.
