FIRES.
OTIRA HOTEL BURNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Tuesday. The Terminus Hotel, Otira, owned and occupied by Jas. O'Malley, was burned to the ground on Sunday morning early. One man was .badly hurt in getting out and was removed to the hospital. The boarders lost practically everything.'The losers included the postmaster and stationmaster, who were both relieving, and Dr. Cairns and family. The building and furniture were valued at £SOOO, and it is understood was insured for £IOOO in the State Office.
