In reply to a ijiiestioii in the Senate regarding the reported rapid and <*ontimious influx of Japanese into New Caledonia. Mr. McGregor stated that a number of them lmd been imported to work in the mines, and allegedly some of tliein were veteran soldiers. The Government would keep the whole matter under notice.
