John Smith, fanner at Opaki, was found dr. ad in a swamp near his house this morning, with a gunshot wound in the lower part of the body. SICK MAN'S SUICIDE. Masterton, Last Night. At the inquest on the body of John Smith, who was found near his home this morning with a bullet wound in his stomach, a verdict of suicide while temporarily insane was returned. The evidence showed that deceased, who was a married man with ten children, had recently been depressed in spirits ,after an attack of influenza.
