N.Z. MILITARY FORCES.
The half-yearly examination for the promotion of officers of the Territorial forces is now being held at New Plymouth. The examining board is as follows:—President, Captain J.- H. Whyte, Brigade-Major, Wellington :Mounted Brigade; members, Captain F. H. Lampen, Adjutant 11th Regiment (Taranaki Hides); Captain D. E. Card-ale, Adjutant 2nd Wellington Regiment. The following candidates, are being examined:—Captains A. Leech, G." H Pope, A. J. Clarke, W. 11. Fletcher, and A. Dillon Carberry, Lieut. W. C. Bishop, all of the 11th Regiment." and Captain Ryder, senior cadets. .
