THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Lost Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— Hie secondary cyclone which passed yesterday through Oook Strait ceased to affect the weather to-day, and the enveloping westerly disturbance still dominates the general conditions. Rain has fallen in many parts and a heavy thunderstorm with hail occurred inland in the south to-day. The barometer is still Very low in the southern districts. Present indications are for high westerly winds, with a southerly tendency, and a change may be expected soon from that quarter. showery and colder weather is probable generally, and a rising barometer everywhere shortly.
