THE PRESIDENT SHOT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. New York. November 20. Ramon Caceres, President of San Domingo. has been assassinated. The report to the States Department says that the crime was a political one. San Dnmingcl is an island of 18,000 square miles in area and with a population of 000.000, The Republican Government has never been a very stable one and the customs are. at present being collected by the I nited States Government in order to pay the foreign creditors of the Republic.
