The Cheviot News states that it is Mr. Rutherford's intention to offer for sale, early in March, about 6000 acres of the Mandip Hills estate. The land faces the Conway river. "Aobea," Messrs. Builders are experiencing great diHi eulty in Auckland at present in obtain ing carpenters aud bricklayers. The Council decided to call a meeting of representatives from the Xew Plymouth Borough Council. Taranaki County Council. .Harbor Board. Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, Employers' Association, and Chamber of Commerce to meet at 4 p.m. on Friday afternoon to discuss the matter.
