Coker, late of the Hawera lirnnch of the Bank of Now South Wales, and formerly of New Plymouth has been transferred to Wellington. llif deatli is reported from London of -Mr. j'.dwnrd Pembroke, chairman of directors of the Shaw, Savill & Albion Company, lie was one of the original directors of the company, and in 1895 succeeded the Right Hon. C. T. Ritchie as chairman of directors, a position he held continuously until his death. Private advice was received in New Plymouth yesterday of the death at Auckland on Sunday of Mr. J. T. Hendry. -well-known sharebroker, of pneumonia Mr. Hendry, who, was held in very high respect, was at one time in the service of the National Bank, and opened the first branch of the bank in Taranaki at New Plymouth.
