"THE WOMAN IX THE CASE." To-night playgoers will have an opportunity of seeing "The Woman in the Case,'which will be presented in the Theatre Royal by the new English Dramatic Company which the J. C. William-son-Clarke and Meynell amalgamated firms are sending along. This piece was written by the famous American dramatist, Clyde Fitch, and has been a big success. Up to the time of his death the author is said to have drawu over £7O,QOO_ from it, The story deals with the intrigues of ail unscrupulous woman, who seeks revenge by embroiling the victim of her hatred in a charge of the murder of her best friend. There is a thrilling third act in which the wife of the accused extorts from the adventuress the confession that Julian Rolfe had not been murdered, but had shot himself. Miss .Mabel Trevor appears as the devoted wife, and Miss Elinor Foster as '"The Woman in the Case,'' To-morrow night- "A Fool There Was'' will be staged, fn this play there is a wonderfully realistic ship scene, a big ocean liner being most realistically pro" duced. First seen at the wharf prior to its departure, the vessel is subsequently sV»wn at sea with New York in (he distance, the illusion being most strikingly effective.
