Farmers and breeders are reminded of the sale of pedigree and show stock which Mr. Newton King is holding at the Waiwakaiho yards on Friday next, the day after the Taranaki metropolitan show. Entries of show and other stock for sale are now being received, and will be advertised in due course. Miss Anderson Hughes, who is speaking at Tataraimaka and Okato on Monday night and in- New Plymouth on Tuesday, is a New Zealand lady who has, spent some years in Australia and in England advocating licensing reform. The two great events in New Plymouth this week are the Agricultural Show on Wednesday and Thursday, which will eclipse any previous effort, and Am'bury's special supplementary show of spring and summer dresses and millinery (ready to put on), selected in London and Paris by Miss Harrison, who has just returned and will be delighted to meet her numerous friends and visitors to town on Tuesday and every day through I the week.
