~ SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. ■•• Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— The barometer has risen everywhere with southerly winds, strong to gale, but a change is already taking place in the southernmost districts, where the barometer has commenced te foil. Showers have fallen in many ports of the country, and cool weather has been experienced generally. Present indications are Sot a change to westerly winds, backing to northerly, and freshening in most parts Of the country. The barometer will probably fall everywhere shortly, with increasing haze and cloudiness, especially in the south, where a low pressure area is likely to pass about Sunday.
