A SALE POSTPONED.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The sale of sections in a block near Alexandra, Central Otago, recently cut up for sale as fruit farms and commanded by the Last Chance water race recently purchased by the Government' did not eventuate to-day. At the outset of .proceedings the auctioneer notified that the sale was postponed. The announcement of sale contained the following': "The Government irrigation races command all this freehold and water will be supplied to holders at a small rental per annum per holding." It transpired that no sucli arrangement had been come to e,ther as to the supply 0 f water or as to .price, ami the Minister in charge of the Public Works Department claimed that intending buyers should be in possession of this fact. e
