The preparations for the departure of the Terra Nova for the Antarctic are Being pushed on, and it is anticipated that everything will be in readiness- for thl* vessel to leave on December loth. 'The mules and dogs now on Quail Island are doing splendidly, and it is expected that they will be in fine fettle for work in the Antarctic.
