A feature of to-morrow's polling will be that women for the first time in State elections will exercise a vote. A forecast of the result is difficult. The Liberals claim that the Bootliby election in South Australia is proof that the Labor tide has turned. The Labor Party is confident, and hope for an increase in representation on last Parliament by tt len6t four seats.
FIXING PRICE OF GOODS. Melbourne, November 15. In the Federal House of Representatives during the Budget debate, Sir John Forrest charged the Government with not adhering to its promise, of tariff reform. Mr. Hughes expressed a view in favor of the lixiT'n of the prices of goods by the Government. It was only his per? i;;ii mini.in auj hp was not tpeak ing for the Government.
AN INDIGNANT MINISTER. Adelaide, November 15. The Minister of Industry refused to listen to Councillor Lundie, one of the speakers of a deputation, and left the room, alleging that Lundie had grossly insulted him on a previous occasion. The deputation declined to place their views before the Minister, and retired.
