MARLBOROUGH SHOW.
■FEWER ENTRIES THAN USUAL. By Telegraph—Press Association. Blenheim, Last Night. The effects of a difficult season are reflected in the slightly reduced number and diminished quality of the entries at the Marlborough A. and P. show, which opened to-day. The entries total 900, as against 950 last year, the shortage being mainly in sheep and domestic produce. Championships in sheep were awarded as follows C. Coulter; Lincolns, D. Bishell; Romney Marsh, Thomas Hunt; Shropshires, H. D. Vavasour. In the maiden leaping A. Rore's Ira struck a hurdle and fell on Lewis, the rider, breaking las collar-bone.
